The Royal Melbourne Hospital Foundation Grants and Expressions of Interest for Funding are only available to staff and departments coming under the Melbourne Health Banner, these include The Royal Melbourne Hospital, NorthWestern Mental Health and VIDRL.

2017 Foundation Grant Program

The 2017 Foundation Grant Program is a competitive grant round, that opens on June 21st and Closes at 5pm on Thursday the 27th of July, 2017.

The Royal Melbourne Hospital Foundation will be focusing on funding projects and initiatives which contribute to achieving the organisation's vision to be "First in Care, Research and Learning". In particular we welcome applications for new and innovative Care and Learning initiatives and/or those which will deliver transformational change in one or more of Melbourne Health’s strategic priority areas.

Before Applying

Before starting your online application for this grant round, please ensure that you have approvals in place for your project.

What approval do I need?

If you are seeking funding for a new position or additional EFT, or are seeking funding of $50,000 or above then you will need to complete a Business Case and have it approved in accordance with the Melbourne Health Delegations policy. CLICK HERE to download a copy of Business Case form.

If your project is not for a new position or EFT and is below $50,000 then you will need to complete a Business Approval Form and have it approved. CLICK HERE to download a copy.

You will not be able to submit this application until you have either, an approved Business Case or a Signed Business Approval Form, scanned and uploaded to this online application.

It is important that you are familiar with "Transforming Health - Melbourne Health Strategic Plan 2015 - 2020" before applying and that your application is aligned with at least one (or more) of the six strategic priorities. CLICK HERE to download a copy of the Strategic Plan 2015 - 2020.
